At MBP we love to photograph love. We love capturing true emotion, real connections and the essence of who you are. Picture perfect posed photographs are okay, but what really excites us is real life. One of the reasons we love weddings and engagements is that they are full of excitement, hope, promise, and love. And those moments are undeniably overflowing with raw emotion. As creative storytellers, we live for that.
Every wedding is beautiful. We enjoy all the painstaking details, the unique decor and fun themes, the gorgeous venues both grand and quaint, the beautiful flowers, the amazing cakes… we love photographing all of it. We know your mother in law wants family portraits and your mom wants a great photograph of you in your dress. Of course, we’ll get those shots. But, what we are most concerned about documenting is the proud look on your father’s face when he gives you away; the tears in your sister’s eyes as she stands holding your bouquet by the alter; the joy of your best friend as she hugs you tightly at your reception; the sweet, sleepy face of your niece as she crawls in her mother’s lap during the toasts; your grandfather’s signature dance moves as he revisits his youth, and your first embrace as Mr. & Mrs. as you steal a private moment together amidst the chaos and celebration.
As you plan your big event, you already know that your cake will disappear in minutes, your flowers will wilt before the day’s end , and that gorgeous, carefully selected dress will only be worn for a few hours. But your photographs… those will be there forever. You will have them when you settle into your first home. You will have them when you argue with your partner and need to be reminded how much you love each other. You will have them to show your children and grandchildren where they came from – their history. And, you will have them when your parents are no longer with you – to remind you how carefully your mom helped you prepare for the day, and how proudly your father placed your hands into those of your spouse. Those photographs are powerful. Those photographs you will treasure, and it is our job to record those beautiful moments for you. That is why we love what we do.
2014 was a huge year of growth for us and we are filled with gratitude for all of the wonderful couples who trusted in our vision. With full hearts and beaming smiles we look back on the year and are so very thankful for each of you who allowed us into your lives to record your beautiful memories.
We are so very excited to see what 2015 brings! We’re ready to push harder, work smarter and grow our creative vision by leaps and bounds!
